PEACEMAKING/MATTHEW 25 TASK FORCE
The purpose of the Peacemaking/Matthew 25 task force is to support
the social justice ministries of the congregations and new worshipping communities in Olympia
Presbytery, and to support their public witness.
The rationale and design of the Task force is described in the attached memo.
The Task force is currently looking for members. The goal is to have a membership of 15
individuals, and 11 are needed. The two requirements for membership are:
1. Current membership in an Olympia Presbytery congregation.
2. A commitment to the social justice work of our congregations. Members need not be
ordained Ruling or Teaching Elders.
We welcome Sessions to recommend members for this Task force, hoping to get broad
representation from our churches and worshipping communities.
We also encourage Sessions to complete the Questionnaire.
The Task force is designed to support the work of congregations, and this
information will guide its work this year.
