  • Trauma Informed Care for the Unhoused - Sarah ButlerWills

    • Retreat Home is a nonprofit ministry, created to help the church gain skills in understanding and practicing hospitality, specifically with families who have been caught in our current housing crisis. Our community of volunteers, and host families, are trained in the area of Trauma Informed Care. Sarah ButlerWills, the executive director of Retreat Home, will be sharing this same training, to equip us to have vital conversations with our unhoused neighbors. The more we understand their circumstances and have tools, the more likely we are to extend hospitality in our communities.

  • Growing Old: Revitalizing the Church through Retirees - James Kim

    • How can the growing generation of retirees provide the building block to revitalizing congregations? This presentation is the story of how the Little Church on the Prairie has been experiencing growth and revitalization from the most unlikely demographic - the retirees. The story might be the catalyst and the encouragement for other congregations to consider church revitalization with this growing demographic.

  • Israel/Gaza- Mae Elise Cannon

    • The conflict between Israel and Gaza has been heavy on people's hearts and can sometimes be difficult to understand. You are invited to join Rev. Dr. Mae Elise Cannon, the executive director of Churches for Middle East Peace (CMEP), for a briefing and Q&A session on the urgent situation in Gaza and Israel. Rev. Dr. Cannon will update participants on the latest news from the region, share insights from our partners on the ground, and discuss how CMEP is mobilizing for an end to the violence in U.S. policy. Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions and learn how they can get involved in supporting CMEP's mission during this critical time.
