We
are looking for a wonderfully talented and collaborative individual to serve
as the Worship Music Director of Marine View Presbyterian Church. Marine View is a healthy, growing
church—with a contemporary approach to worship—in Northeast Tacoma overlooking
the Puget Sound.
You will be part of a
leadership team that is committed to helping all people enter into an
intimate, personal relationship with God.
Whether someone asks one of us to meet them for coffee on a Tuesday or
just sits through one song on a Sunday morning – we want them to experience
God’s love. Our vision is to be a caring family of God, guided by
the Holy Spirit, Sharing Christ's Love.
And we’re looking for a Worship Director that will help us to
make that happen.
The Worship Director will
provide the vision and leadership of all aspects of our worship teams and
will work with the ordained pastors to ensure a consistent theme is
established in concert with a given message or series. Your responsibilities
will include, but are not be limited to: directing worship, harnessing
multimedia channels to create a multisensory experience, when appropriate;
leading music teams and individuals, and supporting drama and other special
events, and to support our youth and children’s ministries in the development
of music among children.

The
technical Stuff. You will:
·
Lead
rehearsals of all music teams: choirs, bell choir, men’s quartet, women’s
group, soloists, youth band, organists, etc.
·
Nurture
and care for team members.
·
Lead
and prepare the Sunday Worship team.
·
Provide
the vision and leadership for outreach events: Easter musical, Summer Fest,
Children’s Christmas Musical, etc.
·
Oversee
and manage the church’s music budget.
·
Oversee
the church’s sound system and musical equipment.
Compensation:
·
Salary
range of $40,000 t0 $46,000 based on experience.

Two
weeks paid vacation.
